Milestone setup training

Thank you for your purchase of a Milestone rackmount server, we have set up the server with all the necessaryapplications on our end. Since the server is not associatedwith any cameras you will have to add them manually when the server arrives.

The login credentials for the physicalserver are:
User: ***************
Password: ************
The login credentials for the Milestone Smart viewer are:
User: **************
Password: **************
Here is some instruction on how to add cameras to the system
Create camera group

  1. Select Cameras
    1. Right click on the Cameras under the column Devices
    2. Select Add New Device Group
    3. Name Device Group POLECAMS, or something related to the products you have.
Add cameras (They need a public ip address)

  1. Select Recording Servers
  2. Under Recording Servers (In the Recording Server Column), right click the recording server
  3. Select Add Hardware

Add new credentials
This next step only applies if you are using one of our systems, If not follow these steps but input the relevant information about the cameras being added.
1-Add new credentials
User: ******
Password: **********
2- Leave only axis selected for the drivers. (If not using an axis camera or one of our systems, input the brand of the camera you would like to use.)
3- Input the public IP address for the cameras you would like to add
4-Wait for cameras to be added.
Add Cameras to Smart Client
  1. Sign in with the <agency> user
  2. Under view groups right click the private folder to add a new view folder/group
  3. Click the Add group icon
  4. Now drag and drop the cameras under the recording server to their desired slots
