Saving a Video With Axis Companion

On your laptop or computer, open up your axis companion add and log in with the credentials provided to you from Covert Law Enforcement. There you will see your cameras on your account. On the top left you will see "Live View", "Recordings", and "Configuration". Select recordings.

Select the date in which the evidence occurred. Then select the Save Icon on the right hand side of the screen. This allows you to select the camera(s) that you want to save a clip from. Make sure that ONLY the ones you want to save are selected. After making sure that the camera is selected that has the evidence for your current investigation, you will need to narrow down the time in which the incident occurred.

In the following video, we will go over the entire process of how to save a video for evidence purposes. Remember to take note of the file path that Axis Companion is saving your video. This can be changed to your person preference by clicking the account icon on the top right, then going to settings, then selecting File on the left.

When the evidence is stored to the computer it can then be transferred to an external hard drive for permanent storage. Make sure and include the player that is associated with the files if needed.
