Battery Pack User Guide
Materials
The battery pack comes with the following:
- A suitcase with a battery, relays, and other circuitry
- An 3-prong AC power cord
- A 2-prong DC power cord
On top of the battery pack (by the handle) there is a:
- DC power socket
- AC power socket
- Voltage meter with an on/off button and a protective cap
Inside the suitcase, there are only 2 things you need to worry about:
- A yellow breaker switch, allows AC power to run from the AC power socket to the battery to charge it
- A green breaker switch, which allows DC power to run out of the battery and into the DC power socket to power an external system
Charging the Battery
To charge the battery, you will need the 3-prong AC power cord and access to an AC power source or power socket. AC power sockets are found in most homes and buildings and have 3 holes.
Plug one end of the AC power cord into the socket with 3 holes at the top of the suitcase and plug the other end into an AC power socket in a wall nearby.
Finally, in order to send power to the battery, flip the yellow switch into the “on” position. In order to monitor the battery’s voltage level, flip the green switch into the “on” position. A meter on top of the suitcase by the power sockets will show you the battery’s voltage (higher voltage means higher charge in the battery).
Powering a System with your Battery Pack
Using the 2-prong DC power cord, you can connect a camera system to the battery pack in order to power it.
Connect one end of the DC power cord to the battery pack’s DC power socket and the other end to the DC power socket of the camera system that you want to power. Since both ends of the cord are the same, it doesn’t matter which end you use for the battery pack and the other system.
Finally, make sure the yellow switch is flipped to “on” in order to draw power from the battery.
